HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – If you like chicken wings, a new eatery hopes to satisfy your cravings with unique Asian flavors.
Nona owner Richard Arguelles and team members Leah Duncan, Jinelle Juan and Cher McCracken joined HNN’s Sunrise to showcase their popular flavors, such as OG, calamansi chili, yuzu buttah, salt pepper vinegar, and green dragon.
Arguelles said he started the eatery in Los Angeles and opened it here when he moved to Hawaii to be closer to family. He named it Nona after his late grandmother who raised him and inspired him to put out good food that people can enjoy. The OG sauce is her recipe.
Find Nona inside Rock Bottom Sports Bar and Grill at 1019 University Ave. It’s open daily 3-11 p.m.
