Just when you thought, your wrist had seen every trick up Apple’s sleeve, along comes the Series 10 to prove that timepieces can still turn heads. So, is the Series 10 a timely masterpiece or just another notch on Apple’s timeline?
Familiar yet refreshingly new
Apple hasn’t reinvented the wheel, but they’ve certainly polished the rims. The Series 10 comes in new 42mm and 46mm sizes, with a display that subtly wraps around the edges. It’s up to 40 per cent brighter—hitting a dazzling 2,000 nits—making it brighter than your future (or at least your smartphone screen). Surprisingly, it’s lighter than its predecessor at just 35.3 gm for the aluminium model.
Timed right
Powered by the S10 SiP 64-bit dual-core processor, the watch runs smoothly without breaking a sweat. It’s not a quantum leap from the Series 9, but apps open snappily, and everything feels a tad zippier. The new sleep apnoea monitoring won’t sing you a lullaby, but it will keep tabs on your night-time breathing—handy for more than just checking if you’re snoring. Finally, fast charging graces the Apple Watch. Going from 0 per cent to 80 per cent battery in about 30 minutes means less time tethered to an outlet and more time living your life—or tracking it. And the promised 18-hour battery life holds up under typical use.
Worth your time or just passing seconds?
The Apple Watch Series 10 doesn’t shatter the mould, but it refines what’s already excellent. The larger, brighter display and faster charging are meaningful improvements. If you’re rocking a Series 8 or older, this is a compelling upgrade. Series 9 owners might not feel the urgency—after all, even good things take time.
